Solid Design and Detail was hired to design a new feature stair for the lobby of Outfront Media’s Berkley location. They had originally wanted us to design a segmented geometric stair that would effectively fill the space and align with the angled walls of the lobby. After many design adjustments, we just couldn’t get a design to work that would also be compliant to California building codes. So we went back to the drawing board and designed a curved stair that would still look great and also get approved by the city.

SDD supported the 3D design and detailed this project in its entirety. This included complete 3D BIM Models, Shop Drawings, Assembly and Erection Drawings, Bill of Materials, Sheetmetal Flat Patterns and .DXF files to CNC all steel plates.
